Antique Hermle ClocksTake me to the Auctions! Early on in their history, Hermle gained a reputation throughout the industry as a quality maker of clock movements. Their specialty was chime movements, many of which were made for other clock manufacturers, especially Seth Thomas. You may well find Hermle movements in other manufacturer’s clocks too, like Sligh, Ridgeway and Howard Miller.
Hermle is proud of the fact that they manufacture clock parts using state-of-the-art computer controlled technology which ensures that any movement they produce will function perfectly, keep good time and if it ever need repair, parts will be readily available. Looking at some of the clocks you are likely to find for sale, many antique Hermle Clocks will be priced extremely reasonably, under $500, so are very collectable. If you are a clock maker and you are looking for a clock movement there are plenty of those available too, and most for around one hundred dollars or less, excellent value. Many of these will be chiming movements too, so you make or repair an even more interesting clock. Happy Collecting!

Franz Hermle passed away in 1953 and the company was taken over by his four sons, Alfred, Gebhard, Hans and Heinrich. These four men had as much passion for antique Hermle Clocks and their father and that has been proven by the quality of clock movement that has subsequently been manufactured by the company.
